Identification of the customer

Loyalty, and in particular Card-Linked Offers (CLO) is brought to a new level with the advent of smart POS using the Android operating system.

The larger screen gives an opportunity to interact in real time with consumers. Identification of the customer and their transactions has become easier by using the payment card as the primary identifier with which to recognize the customer through transactions, cashback, points etc. As part of its Commerce Services, PPaaS offers CLO Loyalty to acquirers and ISVs for their Merchants.

This offer enables automatic In-Store consumer (shopper) recognition to detect CLO loyalty membership and to notify in real-time the loyalty provider. Identification occurs by tokenizing the credit/debit card PAN, the resulting token is used to identify the consumer. Thus, all transactions in the stores of a given merchant that has subscribed to this service will be tokenized and the result will be matched with a token database containing all the cards that belong to the consumer members of the CLO program.


Transactions

Transactions processed by PPaaS with a card matching one previously enrolled in your loyalty program, and with a token generated by PPaaS, will be recognized at the time of the transaction.

The transaction will be flagged in the PPaaS reporting with your organization as the loyalty provider allowing you to recognize and reward the transaction.

PPaaS also supports consumer enrolment In-Store enabling merchants to attract more members to their loyalty programs. This has a significant impact on the In-Store experience, minimizes check-out times and extends the capacity to enroll new consumers.
